The Center for Mindful Self-Compassion provides information about MSC, an 8-week program designed to cultivate self-compassion skills for daily life. Founded in 2012 by Kristin Neff, PhD and Christopher K. Germer, PhD, the center is a place where people can learn about self-compassion, find out where to train in MSC, continue to practice MSC skills, and explore how to teach MSC to others.
Chris Germer is a clinical psychologist, meditation practitioner, author, and teacher of mindfulness and compassion in
psychotherapy and everyday life. Chris is also the co-developer of the Mindful Self-Compassion training program.
Kristin Neff, Ph.D. is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on self-compassion, being the first one to
operationally define and measure the construct over a decade ago. In addition to her pioneering research into self-
compassion, she has developed an eight-week program to teach self-compassion skills in daily life, co-created with her
colleague Dr. Chris Germer, called Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).
Within the Satir Model are basic assumptions that provide the framework for a proven methodology fortransformational change. Developed by visionary family therapist, Virginia Satir (1916-1988), the Satir Model continues to inform and influence the work of individual, couple, family and group practitioners seeking to facilitate a greater sense of vitality and inner peace for clients around the world. Transformational change also takes personal growth to a new level by assisting each person’s spiritual core to manifest itself in more positive energy.
Internal Family Systems is a powerfully transformative, evidence-based model of psychotherapy. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Our inner parts contain valuable qualities and our core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. In IFS all parts are welcome.

Led by grief counselor and educator Dr. Alan Wolfelt, we are an organization dedicated to helping people who are grieving and those who care for them. Perhaps someone you love has died, or you want to help a grieving friend or family member. Or maybe you are a professional or volunteer grief caregiver. Either way, we are here to offer resources and understanding.
